Nativity of the Virgin Mary Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral

The create I chose to do for my Architectural project is the race of the Virgin Mary Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral. The board of directors leased Har obsolescent H. Fisher & Associates for the architectural scope and design of this church. I chose to halt on this structure because I am a parishioner and section of the church and hold it very close to my heart. I second mass, my husband and I were married here and both of my children were baptised in this church. I have many friends and family members who are in addition parishioners and members, making it a common place for us to visit, suss out and pray. The church is new, macroscopicalr and modern. In the late 1960s and the primal 1970s there was a large population of Macedonians who emigrated in large numbers looking for a better tincture for themselves and their children. With unofficial numbers stating that there are about 30,000 Macedonians in the Metro Detroit area, this made our community one of the largest in northerly America and the largest in the United States. The Macedonians were seeking a family line for their religious and uncanny needs so they attended topical anesthetic anesthetic Greek, Bulgarian and Serbian Orthodox Churches. In 1975 the old church in Warren, located on Ryan Rd between 8 and 9 Mile Roads, became our new home. As time went on the Macedonian population conductd to grow and the church was not large enough to house all of the parishioners and members. In family, 1992 the trance began for building a new church and property is purchased on the northwestern United States recession of 19 Mile & Ryan Rd in Sterling Heights. The building of our new church began in September of 1998 and was complete in September of 2002. This new church was make to hold more than parishioners and bring the Macedonian population back down together in one home for weekly mass, holidays, weddings, baptisms and to continue our religious and spir itual beliefs.
